What's motivate a person to die?
Hurt
Lost
Deep hurt...

what kind of hurt?
How the hurt can drive a person decide to end his/her life?
Hurt that make one to let go....to the point of letting go his life.

Everyone need a reason to live.
If one says "my reason to live is to live with her/him"
then if he/she lost her, then there is no more reason to live.

He might scare of breakup the 3rd times....
He might think that - he is not so good in maintaining a relationship...
he think - he is not good at this, and he will generalize it to everything he do...
when someone has lost confidence in what he CAN do....
we need to highlight what he DO well

What is love?
Love is when someone trust you, wanna be with you forever...want to hold your hands, want to hug you, cares you so much...
The general term.
What does all this action mean?
This action make you feel worthy, make you feel important, make you feel happy.
Important - yes, that's the feeling, love can make you feel like - on top of the world, your own world.

When someone suicide because of love ...i think is that
there is no one care, hug, touch him like his girl friend does....
There is no one make him feel important like his girl friend does... (at that moment)

To ask someone "let go" only is not enough.
imagine this:
He is holding a gold in his hand, now you ask him to let go...
will he?

but what if, you say this "let go" the gold, I will give you another "gold"....
he might exchange with you. He might.

So, the key to healing is to tell him - Someone will come and love you very soon.
Give him love. When you say this, be very sure of what you say.

Healing Process

So, the solve this problem, we need to give him/her (the person who want to suicide) a new reason - a new hope.

What is this new hope?

Tell him/her "You CAN"
list down what he CAN do
Help him find out what he can do so well.
Tell him how he CAN help others, how he already helped someone...
Help him to recall this experience

There are other gals like you.
Tell him "You will meet your another loved one very soon."
Tell him "he is handsome"
Tell him "he can control his future" - say this in firm, confident way

About Us - From failure towards Great Success

We are team of professionals, each of us is highly excellent in their own field. We bring out the best of each team member and we figure out that we can't work alone, why? I, Kent Lau, has failed few years ago because I don't realize working together, sharing profits is the key to success in business and life. When you truly value the power of sharing, you gain everything in life, you live happily like Google team..ha ha.

Let's me show you what I mean, I first register an Enterprise on 2007.

Then I failed within few months, I learnt a great lesson - Never work alone.

Now I bounce back and I setup a brand new company Pusat Latihan Doggy, with greater understand of how to operate a business and ensuring it to success, always. In fact, I know I will succeed step-by-step with the guidance from T Harv and Blair Singer and their team.

I show my confident by renewing the company fee for 3 years. (Figure 3)

I already see my team's success for the next three years. By the way, for those who interested to join my wedding at Sabah on 12-12-2012, keep this date in mind.
I will rest few months to prepare a greater change in life - the single most powerful gift that God give us - Marriage and the opportunities lies in it. Amazing!

My team include Jossie, T Harv, Blair Singer, TTT graduate, my students, my partners, my family, my dog, my government, myself, there is more, but just to show you that a single change of mindset can bring greater result.

Whty your child are not happy today?

As your child came back home, you look at his/her face, you know -
emm..he/she is not happy, but why?

you asked.
"I don't feel good" your children replied.

So, what's wrong?

1. We are not taught to work together
2. We are not taught to acknowledge what we share
3. We are working alone.

There is no joy, no fun, no life...when you work alone.

That's no problem at school time as long as you scored a great result. but the problem grows bigger and your child will face the terrible consequence when he/she join the work force.

Today, every project requires a team of professional, not a single person can handle. How I know? Take for example, Google, is Google created by 1 person or 2 person in their initial stage? How the Google size now? Is Google's result created by single employee's idea?

The Spirit of Competition will not deliver great result

Take a good example of Google
Google did not compete with anyone.
What it does is to find out the problem in the market and create a new product/solution to the world.

The Google mission:
to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful.

Does it says to be the best, the greatest? the most outstanding?
Google do not think "to compete", it says that "universally accessible and useful".

I repeat, Universally accessible

useful. full stop.

with this mission statement, Google emerge to be a great company with great team of software developer. When mission statement set right, you attract the best people around the world.

Let do a comparison, (we compare not to blame anyone, but to learn and improve)
Microsoft mission

Microsoft leads the industry. this phase will cause a lot of emotion burden to everyone.

Mission statement is the driving force, it is why a company exist. In other words,
Google exist because it wants to create ways to "universally accessible and useful" and for Microsoft, it wants to "leads the industry", now which one do customer wants? You got it, we all wants "universally accessible and useful", we don't need a leading provider.

We choose to use Google than Bing mainly because Google is useful.
And Google will grow so fast so fast as long as he don't think he is competing with some giant. because everyone is a giant in their field.

Is time to think like Google. think like Google you will win the favor of the customer, of the employee and yourself. Stop compete, start create. Be creative, be innovative.

Create something that help the humans, the earth everyday.
So when you leave the world, you knows firmly that - the world is getting better because of "me" and it is not "I have creating a leading company, I am richest in the world' but the world is in disaster and it is caused by you....

This mindset must changed. You will have 5 benefits if you change:
1. you will live happily
2. you will conquer fear of "comparing with other"
3. You will fulfill your mission despite of any difficulty

Dealing with mistake

Recently I learnt about dealing with mistake.
Mistake is really the key to learn.

Once we make a mistake, we learnt.
Sometimes, the mistake takes a great price to pay..

The toyota recent "recall" issue is a mistake.
Can we learnt something from it?

When we make mistake, the first thing is to admit.
but far too often, we don't.
far too often, we say "Let me figure this out."
very unlikely we hear "I think we have a mistake, I am SORRY, let us figure out this problem together"

We ignore the complaints, problems and hopefully let it disappear...but the problem keep repeating and keep growing...

I can relate to this. I worked with a so-called Award-winning company for a short period, and I found out during my assignment, this company have lots of problem.
The CEO is too ambitious and aggressive. It is good. but at the sametimes, he try to cut the company's operation cost by using less programmer to complete a state-level Enterprise application.
He sacrifices the quality of the application, ignoring the legimate complaints of the staffs in all his branch.

the result was - the Enterprise application develop for a state-level authority agency does not worked well. We failed to deliver the product on time, and there is no quality control. All the CEO concern is just - ask the customer (the authority agency) to pay by signing the UAT.

I quit but I have learnt a lesson. When you expanding too fast and yet cutting the vital part - Quality, you can't go far. The customer's complaints will stack high, you will need to take more times and effort to rectify it. I hope that CEO learnt a lesson from Toyota case too.

In fact, it is not only Toyota will have this problem. Any company that have the spirit of competition will fail eventually. These company fail to remember their mission - it is not to earn profit (the profit will come), it is about providing best quality product/service to the customer. Toyota brand rise not because the brand, but because of good quality. You don't really have to compete the price.

The consumer also play important role. We are driven by price alone.
When comes to purchase a service/product, we primary look at the price.
When purchasing a car, we compare price, some website even give you tools to compare - price.
Price, Price, Price....
That cause the producer to cut cost more and more....
the result is - less quality material, less measurement, less and less...
You give less, the producer give you less, in certain way.

Toyota is clever. When customer want to buy cheaper car, he produce smaller car. That's ok, smaller in size, but the autoparts he also want to cut the quality, find a cheaper source, product slightly less quality, that's okay?

Take my previous company case, that company's customer want to have more feature on the product (the Web-based application) but want to pay the same amount of money, so the CEO have to force the employee (2 of us) to work harder..both of us programmers are no longer work because we love to work, we are force to work to meet those unreasonable deadline and scope of work. And worse still, the CEO blame on the staff for couldn't meet up the deadline. And that's really demotivate us, I decide to quit and guess what? the CEO pass all those work to the remaining staff - 1 programmer, 1 Enterprise application. I wonder how she can handle it? This is tips of the iceberg, more problem will emerge as the result of cutting human capital, no training provided to help staff solving problem creatively....not appreciating the staff's effort (Well, though he does provide us a good Chinese New Year dinner, to me I just felt like is an obligation rather than appreciation....I am human, I can feel the real appreciation and the fake one)

When crisis in business happened, don't just blame. Toyota, my previous company is an example.
Don't blame, we find out the root cause and solve it.

I think blame is point to a particular person and say "that's your fault (It's not my fault)"
So my suggestion is to look at a higher level, identify how the problem was originated from...
And stop pointing who's fault and express all the negative feeling and words...
instead, provide list down all the party that responsible
1. Mr. XYZ
2. Ms. ABC

And tell them, we all make mistake, including myself.
and mistake is good and worth to celebrate, that's how human learnt.
and just tell them "Thank you for the hardwork, we need to correct this mistake"
"We will grow stronger with this mistake"

isn't that better than shouting at someone or showing face "Mr. XYZ You are stupid, why cause this mistake?" and the tone of voice is so loud that it demotivate the staff the produce an even worst result...

I wonder how the CEO of Toyota behave now under such a "recall" mistake?
Most CEO will just shout at the employee, fire the responsible party and hiring a new responsiblity party, that's seems a quick fix.....to be I believe this is not a right way, it demotivate all other staff.
it shows that the company do not value the mistake, the people.

CEO also can make mistake, why shouldn't we blame others? we can't see that we are also part of the responsiblity party. How we know CEO is part of the mistake. Let's do a reverse phychology, what if the project is delivered successful, who take the credit? CEO and the staff or the CEO holding an awards and smile....

So, if you, CEO wants to take the credit, then please remember - when mistake comes, we all take responsiblity. Don't blame, just celebrate for an hours and show appreciation to the staff and start correcting the mistake.

The rules to successfully handling mistake is:
List down all party involved in the project

Then

Celebrate

Then

Appreciate ( this will boost up energy level of each employee)

Then

Identify the root cause of the mistake

Then

Solve it

Then celebrate

Mistakes are how human beings learn.
